Skill items let you learn spells and techniques compatible with your character. The item name, class and attribute requirements show whether you can use it.
After learning a skill, select it and assign it to a command or slot. Some techniques also depend on your equipped weapon, so check skill and equipment requirements together.

Compare your class and attributes with the item description.
Check whether you already know the skill before buying another copy.
Test the skill after adding it to your command bar.
