Read each option's effect, not just how many there are.
Excellent options add offensive, defensive or economic effects to equipment. The available list depends on the piece type, so the same selection does not automatically apply to both weapons and armor.
Distinguish an effect's activation chance from its strength when it occurs. Evaluate options in the context of your build and activity, not just by the number of lines in the description.
Keep in mind in game
Separate bonuses useful in combat from those for farming.
Compare piece effects under the same conditions.
Check whether the option applies to your attack type.
